give Blood and Limbs:
What does the bible say
about giving blood and limbs?
"Love your neighbour as you
love your self" is the commandment that comes to mind when we are asked
to give blood. Christ, divine enough to be able to tell us 2000 years
ago, in his own words or parables, if he desires that we do not donate
limbs or blood today, 2000 years later; as he even predicted all
things unto the end of the earth in the revelation of John.
But as he has not done so, and certainly can not have overlooked the matter, we
can give blood and limbs. And why do people do this? Out of love
for their neighbours.
The below verse is used by
the sect of Jehovah's Witnesses as an excuse not to give or eat blood.
You here will find that this is false, and just another burden upon their
Apostle James quotes an old, by Christ discarded, Jewish Law in regards
to strangled beast and blood: But that we write unto them, that they abstain
from pollution's of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled,
and from blood. (abstain clearly means not eat, but then we
can eat blood states Christ.) Read the whole chapter of Acts:15 to
note the corruption.
I do get questions such as
what will happen to the body on the day of resurrection: will I be
partial body with my limbs having been donated. If this was
an issue, what about the cremated? What about the flesh that rots away,
bones that rot and crumble? All those shall be made whole and, if your
limb was donated to help a fellow being then that, as all rotted away flesh
and bones, will also be made whole on your body. To give blood and limbs
is lawful to God.
Paul here speaks through the spirit: and therefore it is 'Christ' who speaks.
1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times
some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and

Follow the commandments of
God, not those of men.
