Metaphors and Proverbs
On this page I will explain the Metaphors used in the Gospel.  They seem to confuse some people.

Grace through faith:
Metaphor for 'Christ', 'Jesus'.

By grace we are saved through faith:
'Jesus Christ'

EPH 2: 8 For by grace are ye saved through FAITH; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
EPH 2: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

First we read, then we believe, then we have faith in what we just accepted as the truth: Jesus is the son of God and all that he teaches us is the truth. Then we repent and then we baptize, as Jesus commanded, so we receive grace through faith: Holiness.  Thus we have been saved by our 'Faith'. Without putting our faith in the grace that's Jesus Christ, we could never be saved.

Born again:
Metaphor for 'Baptism'
Having 'truly' baptized, not just a baptism ordered by your parents, or a physical undertaking without spiritual truth. You must do this through your own motivation, spiritually ripe for the task at hand, for after this, you cannot 'sin' again: for else you are condemned.

Knowledge of the truth:
Metaphor for 'Baptism'
HEB  10: 26  For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
HEB  10: 27  But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

If  'knowledge of the truth' does not denote 'Baptism', what does it then denote?
Don't try to escape the truth: it is a Metaphor for 'Baptism': which is a sacrifice for the remission of sin.

Sacrifice for sins:
'Baptism'

How is baptism a sacrifice? Is it not that some animal or whatever is sacrificed to God on an altar?
Well, these are material sacrifices. Before we become Christian, we must make spiritual sacrifices: but what are these then?

What we do when we baptize is surrender all the following upon the spiritual altar:
fornication, murder, theft, deception, cold hatred, pre-meditated sin.
Many would rather sacrifice a cow or even ten, instead of these, for these we can no longer indulge in, after we have baptized.

1 Peter 2:5-9
Peter: symbolically (for we are not stones, are we?):   "You also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood (symbolic), to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood (symbolic), a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvellous light".

MAT  18:18  - To All Christians
Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven:
and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

Meaning: Whatever you pray for and believe you shall receive (after you've accepted the truth) you shall receive. If your faith is weak, you have loosened your request in heaven; if your faith is strong, you have fastened it in heaven: for you shall receive it.

Meaning 2: Whatever good or evil you do on earth it shall be bound in heaven. You bind a good deed wen you be chariteble, but you loosen the bond of love when you are greedy and cold towards your neighbour.

--------------------------------
MAT  18: 17  And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.
MAT  18: 18  Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
MAT  18: 19  Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.
MAT  18: 20  For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
--------------------------------

Metaphors used:
MAT 18: 3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
JOH 3: 3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
JOH 3: 7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
PE1 1: 23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
Here we read again that 'Grace' 'Word of God' 'Incorruptable Seed' are all used as Metaphor to denote Christ and his gift to us: baptism for the remission of sin.

Metaphors used:
JOH 3: 3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
JOH 3: 4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?
JOH 3: 5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
JOH 3: 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
JOH 3: 7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

Born again of water and the sprit means: you being born again, not in the flesh but in the spirit. So, not of the flesh, but of the spirit. It does not refer to the Holy Ghost, which we receive through praying for it, for born again we are through water: as Jesus said. But, as we read, we receive the Holy Ghost through prayer after our baptism. Some may believe that receiving the Holy Ghost after our baptism is another form of 'Born Again', referring to born again of the spirit: but this is not so.  The gift of the Holy Ghost is no more than what it's referred to be in the book of Acts: a gift from Christ to the Born Again Christian: the baptized person.

LUK  11: 13  If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

...And The Gates Of Hell Shall Not Prevail Against It
Through the ages Catholics and other Nicolatians tried to defy the above quotation by Jesus, oppressing and murdering many,
deceiving and misleading many more, but they have not and shall not prevail against 'His Church'.
